NEW ACELLUS FEATURE: Acellus Live Class Monitor Update

Acellus has updated its Live Class Monitor with new features that allow teachers to more readily interact with their students taking Acellus courses online. 

The new tools include additional organizational capabilities to help teachers efficiently oversee their students and classes plus more effective feedback on student progress to inform appropriate and timely teacher responses.

NEW ACELLUS FEATURES: Additions to Student Resources

Acellus students have two new features to enhance their learning experience – one to help orient them to the Acellus system and how it works, and one to acquaint them with the scope of each of their Acellus courses.

These new features are available under the Resources tab in the Acellus student interface.

Acellus has released a new feature that captures student attendance and allows teachers to choose to include or not include student attendance in overall student grades.

To help keep parents informed on their students’ progress in Acellus courses, Acellus now sends a Monthly Email Report with a detailed breakout that allows parents to clearly see how their students are doing.

Acellus Allows Teachers to Update Classes to New Versions

Acellus teachers can now seamlessly update their current classes to new versions as they become available. As Acellus continually upgrades and enhances courses, sometimes an entire course will be replaced by a newer version. 

Acellus now has a way for teachers to move an entire class to the latest course version while maintaining student course position and historical records.

New Feature Lets Students Boost Scores on Lessons

Just as students are able to retake exams in Acellus to improve their scores, a new feature allows them to also retake Lessons they have already completed in the course to improve their score. 

The result is that students take greater control of their own learning — scoring higher and learning more in their Acellus courses.

Acellus Teacher Notifications Have New Enhancements

In addition to the Live Class Monitor, Acellus sends Notifications to teachers of important student events. 

While in the past these Notifications provided limited student and course information, Acellus had added new features that give teachers the data and the tools to more readily give the intervention students need.

Students can now immediately know when their teachers send them a message.

Acellus Teachers Have New Action Log to Track Changes

There are times when teachers who are using Acellus need to know what Administrative Actions have been made in their classes. However, in the Acellus shared-administrative access system, it can sometimes be difficult to tell who made what changes.

Now, this information is readily available with the new Acellus 'Action Log’ feature. The Log has a manipulative interface that allows teachers to see what changes were made when and by whom and even lets teachers dig deeper for more details.

Acellus Adds Flexibility to Exam Proctoring

In today’s teaching environment with its new learning approaches, such as distance learning, and new teaching methods, such as blended learning, educators are faced with the complexity of proctoring student exams, a special challenge in cases where students are going at their own pace. 

It is important that teachers be able to intervene at key moments, such as before a critical Exam, yet not get bogged down in tedious exam management.

To address this issue, Acellus has added another level of flexibility to its Exam Proctoring feature —the option to Lock "All Exams" for Proctoring (which includes Unit Exams) or Lock just "Mid-Term and Final Exams,” to require proctoring on only the most important exams.

Sign-In Card Update Streamlines Starting Acellus

The Acellus Sign-In Card was a way, in the past, to simplify starting a new student in Acellus.

The Sign-In Card included basic information, like the student ID and password, that students needed to access the Acellus System.

Wth students now using many different computer devices and platforms, Acellus has updated the Sign-In Card to include important additional information on downloading the Acellus App and accessing the Acellus system.
